Submission Guidelines

Samuel Press invites contributions from thought leaders and subject-matter experts. Writers interested in submitting an opinion commentary are encouraged to send a short pitch, accompanied by a one- to two-sentence professional biography, to editorial@samuel.press

While pitches are preferred to facilitate alignment with our editorial focus, Samuel Press will also consider fully drafted articles (submitted in Microsoft Word or Google Docs format) that meet the following requirements:

  • Address timely and relevant issues;
  • Focus on politics, public policy, economics and business, foreign affairs, history, security, or culture;
  • Are original and unpublished elsewhere;
  • Do not exceed 850 words in length.

Samuel Press seeks submissions that are fact-based, forward-looking, and solution-oriented. We prioritize rigorous analysis and constructive perspectives over purely diagnostic or rhetorical content. Additional details about our editorial ethos are available on our About page.

Submissions selected for publication will receive direct follow-up from a member of our editorial team.

Writers who do not receive a response within five business days are welcome to offer their work to other outlets.

All accepted pieces will go through a collaborative editing and fact-checking process via Google Docs.

Contributors should expect substantial edits. The final authority on all editorial revisions and headlines lies with Samuel Press.

Please note that unsolicited submissions are generally not compensated.

Although Samuel Press endeavors to publish accepted pieces expeditiously, publication timelines may vary depending on editorial schedules.

Thank you for your interest in contributing to Samuel Press.
